Great British Cupcakery

On Good Friday myself and Alice had a chummy date to the Great British Cupcakery on Newcastle Quayside. I'd heard so much about the bakery and cafe that we both knew we had to visit. It is so beautifully decorated, like a country cottage kitchen, and the atmosphere is so friendly and relaxing. The wooden furniture, blue walls, chalkboards in white frames and tiled walls were absolutely beautiful.

And I haven't even mentioned the food yet! There was such a massive array of cakes on offer and in the end I couldn't pick just one. I went with a delicious summer berries cupcake (can't remember the name) which was refreshing but had very rich buttercream icing. I also couldn't resist a slice of the cheesecake brownie, oh my sweet christ it was absolutely heavenly!

I absolutely loved the GB Cupcakery and having a much needed catch up with my chummy.
