I Love Heaton: Heaton Chic

When I first moved to Heaton I didn't know anyone apart from my uni friends, and moving to a new place can be very scary. But when I first visited Heaton Chic, the owner Christine made me instantly feel at home, she was kind to me and told me about so many great places to check out. But my favourite place in the area is her little corner of the city, Heaton Chic on Chillingham Road.

Heaton Chic is filled with shabby chic homewares, cute gifts, gorgeous scented candles and so many tea sets! Everywhere you look, there is something new and quirky for your home. The store is also decorated so beautifully, like a tea room or an old grannies house! It's the perfect place to browse around after shopping in town or Chillingham Road and Christine is always there for a little chat.

Christine individually sources all her own stock from greats such as Sass and Belle, East of India, Geordie Cards, Best Kept Secrets and more. There is also a vast amount of china tea sets, mismatched pieces and cake stands which I know that I can only resist for so long! And to top it all off they sell cute little plants for the garden, this shop really has everything for the home.

I think by now I own half the stock from the shop but I will always be going back for more.

You can visit Heaton Chic at 185 Chillingham Road
They are also on Facebook, Etsy and eBay

Locals, where should I visit next in Heaton?
