Las Iguanas Newcastle

On Thursday I had a day out with Beca, Laura and Rhian in Newcastle. We shopped gossiped and of course stuffed our faces. After spending way too long at the MAC counter and Space NK, we headed to Las Iguanas for delicious food, scrummy cocktails and ridiculous chatter.

As it was 2 for 1 cocktails we all had 2 each! Beca and I had the Long Island Ice Tea and Brazilian Bikini-tini (passion fruit, magnifica cacha├ža, amaretto and pineapple juice). I had the vegetarian chilli for for main meal, instead of meat it was full of sweet potato and butternut squash- so much so that I couldn't even finish the whole thing. We couldn't resist something sweet though, so Rhian and I shared some churro's with toffee and chocolate sauce. I adore churros and had them so much when the winter market was here.

As my health has been so crap recently I was really glad that I got to go out with my friends and dress up, with out without my cane. I'm so glad I have great friends now, I don't have many female friends offline and my disability stops me from being sociable a lot, so thank you girls! I also want to thank Las Iguanas for being so accommodating, moving our table out of the sun and helping me with my cane, and just being so wonderful in general.

Las Iguanas have happy hour 12-7pm Sunday- Wednesday on selected drinks and the lunch menu is available until 6.30 daily.
