#BloggersWhitleyBayHoliday and St Mary's Lighthouse

Last Saturday myself, Rhân, Laura and Alice traveled to along the north East coast for the Bloggers Whitley Bay Holiday at Whitley Bay Holiday Park, organised by my lovely Beca. As she works at the holiday park, she wanted to get us lovely bloggers (us, Craig and Alison) down for the day to show us around. Owned by Park resorts, the holiday park is a great place for families or friends wanting a quiet weekend away. The holiday park is perfectly located near Northumberland and Newcastle, so there's something for whatever you fancy in a day trip.

We got a tour of the caravans for sale, and I'm not even kidding here, one was as big as my house! These holiday homes are huge; they have full kitchens, dining rooms, balconies and even baths, nothing like the crappy ones I went to as a kid.

We were treat to lunch in the Boathouse Restaurant, whilst experiencing all the park had to offer. I had Fajitas, which were so delicious and filling. I can't remember why I took this picture of Laura, I think it was to show her slush and beat Rhi at her self proclaimed "best photo of the day". Oh and we met a Pug, Rhian loved her.

And to end the wonderful day, we had a wander to the beach and St Mary's Lighthouse. It really is a beautiful part of the north east and I can see why people choose to get married there. Beca, Rhian and Craig went exploring the rock pools and went half way out to sea on our way to the lighthouse, we got to go to the beach in September and most importantly, it felt like a proper day out with some of my favourite people. It's also only a short walk from the holiday park so you could spend every day of your holiday here.

We also got lovely goodybags filled with sweets and treats from Lottie McPhee's Cupcakes and Made Cafe, which I forgot to get a picture of, but thank you nonetheless!

So, what do you think of our grim desolate coastline?
